Chrome vanadium (Cr-V) is a low-alloy steel with chromium and vanadium added. It’s heat-treated to high hardness and is the standard for most professional hand tools — wrenches, sockets, pliers. It offers excellent strength-to-weight and resists bending under heavy torque.
